On the "Write" side of things...
In addition to illustrating, I really love to write and assist other writers in their creative process. It's a challenge to write for children, don't ever let anybody tell you different! In order to be able to write really well, you should surround yourself with serious writers who know the rules of the road.
Since there were no critique groups within a fifty mile radius, I started my own professional, on-line, children's lit critique group in 2010, titled, "The Yellow Brick Road". I envisioned ten members but eventually we grew to twenty-five. In our seven years running, YBR had over a hundred writers pass through on their way to success. I learned more from them than I ever dreamed I could. My gratitude runs deep and I pay-it-forward as often as possible.
In the years since YBR, I have helped a multitude of authors to achieve their dream of publication. Some through traditional methods, and some I've safely guided through the shark-infested waters of self-publishing.
If YOU have written a children's story and are seeking assistance in the form of: critiquing, formatting, submitting, Cover/Query letters, page layout, cover design, interior illustration, marketing tools, etc., contact me and describe your project needs. Don't forget to let me know how to reach you!
